The following events have been scheduled to get ready for the Spring 2010 season:

• Late registrations: Please contact Kevin Roddy, MBLL Secretary, at (732) 977-6787 or kroddy@wilentz.com for late registrations of boys and girls, ages 5 to 12, who wish to play in the Spring 2010 season. We will continue to accept late registrations for 8-year-old boys and girls until Wednesday, Feb. 24. Late registrations for 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-year-old boys and girls will be accepted until Saturday, Feb. 27.

• Saturday, Feb. 20: Inaugural Fundraising Cocktail Reception & Dinner Buffet - 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Spring Lake Manor. Please contact Tim McEneny (732/245-2617), Drew Cowley (732/984-1703), or Tom Bauer (908/406-4165) for more information. Click here for registration information.

• Wednesday, Feb. 24: Pre-evaluations for 8-year-old boys and girls will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Brielle Elementary School. Please contact Kevin Roddy for more information.

• Saturday, Feb. 27: Player evaluations for boys and girls ages 9-12 will be held at The Sports Center, 2512 Tiltons Corner Rd., South Wall. Watch this Web site for more information. Parents please note, in accordance with Little League International rules, all 10-year-old and 9-year-old boys and girls who have registered to play are invited to be evaluated to play in the Majors division.

• Monday and Tuesday, March 1-2: Drafts for boys and girls teams for the majors and minors divisions will be held. Those teams can begin practicing on Mon. Mar. 15.

• Saturday, March 13: MBLL Field cleanup day, equipment distribution and managers meetings; attendance and participation by team managers is mandatory.

• Monday, March 15: Team practices begin for boys and girls majors and minors teams.

• Saturday, April 3: Manasquan Recreation Fool's Run: Starts at 10 a.m. at Mallard Park.

• Monday, April 12: Play Ball! - regular season games begin.

• Monday, April 24: Opening Day Parade & Clubhouse Dedication Ceremonies: Players will gather at Manasquan High School at 8:30 a.m.; parade starts at 9:00 a.m.; dedication ceremonies at 10:15 a.m.; games start at 11:30 a.m.

Board Meeting Except during the season, regular meetings of the MBLL board are held the first Monday of each month at Curtis House on Union Avenue in Brielle -- adjacent to Green Acres park. (Meetings are held the second Monday of the month, when the first Monday is a major holiday.)
